The Odd Thing About Even Numbers

I like even numbers. I may be odd, but I like to "round" numbers off, and the like. So today I changed my goal weight to 142. That would make it an even 150 pounds I would have to lose in total. (or 57 from my current weight)

I wonder if there is some psychological negative to going to a lower goal midstream like this. I did that once many years ago: as I got very close to my goal, I lowered the goal weight by five pounds---and I never got to that goal. So I never celebrated getting to my goal. Weird. This is still early in the process though. So, I don't think there will be a negative to this one.

I just thought of something, though. I am really focusing on size not weight numbers. So if I get to a size 6-8, that's really what I am focusing on. I have to remind myself of that.

I can understand the even number thing. It seems easier to attain. I wish you luck in your journey.

Hey girl! Keep up the good work! Who cares about weight numbers? I just want to be at a comfortable place in my body. Sizes and weight don't matter to me...I just want to be healthy and look better than I do now.

LoL That sounds like me! For a while, I was like, "I want to be 120!" and now I'm like... "Eh, 117!" since I started at 267; I like the even-ness of a good solid 150lbs! Your journal is amazing, as are you! I will think of you when I hit 100lbs lost (I'm at 95 right now)!!
